The adventure starts long before you arrive. Coming from the Seattle, Redmond or Everett area the drive through the steep snow covered mountains west of Baring is breath taking. If you come from the east, you go through Stevens Pass, one of the best downhill ski areas in Washington. After turning off the main highway you cross over a narrow one lane suspension bridge at the Skykomish River. The cabin, "A River Runs Through It", is located in the valley between Mount Baring and Mount Crosby just .8 of a mile off Hwy 2 at Baring, Washington.
