Cabins at Mt Rainier

The Parrish Years at Copper Creek Lodge, 1931 - 1952
Pearl and W. W. Parrish purchased Copper Creek Cabin in 1931. They were from Twin Falls, Idaho. These two photos of Copper Creek Lodge were found at Copper Creek Restaurant in 2001, buried behind another photo. There must have been some connection between the two properties, but little is known about the Parrish family. It's possible that Roselea Triggs' sister lived at the lodge at some time during the Parrish ownership.

By the time Parrish sold the property, seven cabins, a laundry, woodshed, and shop were on the property. Sometime before 1946 two bridges were built over Copper Creek to connect Copper Creek Inn & Restaurant to Copper Creek Lodge.

In September. of 1952 W.W. and Pearl E. Parrish sold Copper Creek Lodge to Roy and Pearl Van Cleave. Part of the transaction included trading the Van Cleave's property in Kennewick, consisting of a house with a basement apartment, a small cottage, and a lucrative Mobile gas station as partial payment for the Lodge. (All built by Roy in 1943.)
